Action

ZFA is currently engaged in numerous campaigns both in Israel and on college campuses throughout North America. Contact us to learn more and become involved with our activities in your area.

Educational Campaigns:

ISRAEL’S RIGHT TO FULL BORDERS
ZFA is against the establishment of a “Palestinian” state on our land because we demand that our entire country be free from foreign rule. It does not matter whether that rule is Roman, Turkish, British, Arab or even American. Our problem is that it is foreign. Not because of Israel’s security needs or because greater territory is the solution to those needs. But simply because this is our country, our homeland, the land of our ancestors and in it we and not stranger must govern. ZFA works to educate the general public to Israel’s legal, moral and historic claims to all the territory between the Mediterranean Sea and Jordan River. It is our belief that if presented with the truth of our struggle, most people would naturally support our right to freedom in full borders. While ZFA activists do not see ourselves as positioned to decide Israel’s borders, we do see it as our mission to educate the world in understanding that the Jewish nation has a legitimate claim to the whole of our country.

Benevolence Campaigns:

LIBERATION FROM POVERTY
According to Israel’s National Insurance Institute’s August 2006 Poverty Report, one third of all Israeli children go malnourished each year. While Western children often dream of new toys and fun vacations, over half a million Jewish children simply dream about food. 738,000 Israeli children currently live below the poverty line while parents struggle to provide their families with food and shelter. ZFA has therefore initiated a program to alleviate deprivation in Jewish homes this year through collecting money across North America to be given to Jewish families in need.

JUSTICE FOR DARFUR
Because we the Jewish people understand from our own experience the horrors of genocide and the moral corruption of not only those who murdered but also the nations who refused to prevent murder, ZFA calls on Israel to send IDF soldiers to the Sudan in order to stop the genocide in Darfur. Just as all nations with the potential to save Jews from destruction in Europe had a moral obligation to do so, Israel today has that same obligation to save human lives and prevent further atrocities.

Cultural Campaigns:

ARTiSHOCK STUDENT ART PROJECT
Consisting of twelve intensive three hour meetings, the ARTiSHOCK project celebrates forty years since the liberation of Jerusalem. At each meeting, an accomplished artist is brought to share his or her particular field and technique with ZFA activists who then work to express their strong feelings for Israel’s capital through artwork. The project is geared specifically to Jewish students of Russian background and is being led by Timur Myshyyev, a Magshimey Herut leader from the former Soviet Union.

INTER-GROUP FORUM FOR ZIONIST ACTIVISTS
This internet based forum was initiated in cooperation with activists from other Zionist movements for the purpose of promoting unity among Jews from differing ideological perspectives. ZFA maintains that national unity is imperative to Jewish survival and believes that the more young Jews from opposing perspectives openly dialogue, the more we will discover the similarities in our core beliefs. Inter-Group offers an opportunity for Zionists from diverse ideological, religious and political standpoints to dialogue and discuss the major issues currently confronting the Jewish people. The purpose of this forum is to encourage a free exchange of ideas in a constructive and tolerant setting in order to foster Jewish unity and encourage cooperation towards projects that we all agree benefit the Jewish nation.

Protest Campaigns:

ZIONISTS AGAINST GLOBALIZATION
ZFA opposes globalization in its current form as it leads to the exploitation of poor countries by wealthier ones and the imposition of Western values on traditional cultures. By undermining the notion of national sovereignty, globalization deprives small nation-states of their inherent right to self determination. Furthermore, as the forces of global economics seek to amalgamate continents into unified blocks, globalization contradicts the basic tenets of Zionism and directly threatens Israel’s existence as a small Jewish state situated in a mostly Arab region.

STOP THE WALL
Because we oppose the dissection of our country and rejects the notion that ghetto walls can solve Israel’s security needs, ZFA calls on the government of Israel to cease construction of the so-called Security Fence. The monstrous wall being erected by our Defense Ministry is effectively robbing the Jewish nation of vital portions of our ancestral homeland while defacing that homeland with unsightly concrete. Recent years have shown that Israel’s enemies have no problem shooting over or digging under the Security Fence. Rather than build concrete walls and fortresses, ZFA encourages our government and army to eliminate those who threaten the Jewish people.

NO ARMING IRAN!
On September 26th 2006, senior Russian and Iranian officials signed a deal providing fuel for Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant. The agreement was signed by the head of the Russian state-run Atomstroiexport and the vice president of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization. Even prior to this, Russia has played an instrumental role in furnishing the technology to enable Iran to advance its race to obtain nuclear independence. Although Iran’s intensions of annihilating the Jewish state are clear, Russian Security Council Chief Igor Ivanov has said, “We consider it necessary that Iran should be guaranteed the right to peacefully develop nuclear energy.” By arming the Iranians with full knowledge of their genocidal aspirations, Russia is essentially working towards the destruction of Israel while at the same time enjoying diplomatic and economic relations with the Jewish state. ZFA believes that there can be no friendly diplomacy with a country working towards our destruction. We therefore call on Israel to speak in a clear and moral voice demanding that Russia either immediately cease arming the Iranians or remove the Russian ambassador from Israeli soil.

UN OUT OF ISRAEL-ISRAEL OUT OF UN
For over half a century, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency has pushed a political agenda through actively exacerbating the Middle East conflict and preventing any just solutions from reaching fruition. UNRWA has employed discriminatory policies, serving only Arab refugees from Israel while ignoring the plight of Jewish refugees from Arab lands. UNRWA’s politically motivated criteria for refugee status differs from the standards employed by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees in all other regions. In addition to turning Arab refugee camps into terrorist training grounds and indoctrinating Arab youth to hate the Jewish people, UN workers have been caught exploiting their diplomatic immunity by lending out their vehicles for the kidnapping of Israeli soldiers and the smuggling of weapons to be used against the Jewish state.

The UN itself has consistently worked to weaken, shrink and harm the State of Israel since its inception through hostile resolutions, threats of sanctions and two-faced diplomacy. All this has taken place while the UN either ignores or drags its feet on genuine atrocities taking place throughout the world.

ZFA views the UN as a corrupt organization directly responsible for much of the Middle East conflict. We therefore call upon the State of Israel to resign from the UN and eject UNRWA from operating within her sovereign borders.

FREEDOM FOR KURDISTAN
As a Zionist movement, ZFA believes in the right of all peoples to live freely in their homelands unmolested by imperialism or foreign aggression. As a nation that has struggled and continues to struggle for our right to live freely in our ancestral homeland, Jews share a special obligation to work towards the freedom of other nations fighting against oppression. It is our belief that Israel is not destined to be merely an isolationist nation but rather a moral light that will improve the world for all humankind. We therefore assert that the State of Israel must become involved to the extent that she is capable in foreign struggles for national liberation and should do everything possible to assist the Kurdish people in their struggle for freedom from the four countries (Syria, Turkey, Iraq and Iran) currently occupying Kurdistan.
